Who can resist this Salted Egg Mookata?

With “Talay” meaning seafood and “Kata” meaning pan in Thai, Talay Kata is a seafood barbecue restaurant which just opened its doors a month back. The restaurant aims to offer a unique barbecue experience for its diners, with their signature dish being the Salted egg seafood mookata.

With the salted egg yolk craze here to stay, this salted egg mookata at Talay Kata is likely to appeal to the large crowd. The availability of this soup base makes it possible to have Salted Egg Prawn, Salted Egg Crab and Salted Egg Crayfish upon dipping these seafood items into the broth.

Here at Talay Kata, the seafood spread takes the centre stage with its plethora of seafood offering. When chargrilled, the crab legs are juicy with their rich meat content.

If you’re lucky, you’ll get to indulge in slipper lobsters as well. This particular seafood treat is served in limited quantity at Talay Kata.

Aside from salted egg, Talay Kata offers three other soup bases for its mookata broth. This includes the all-time favourite Tom Yum soup, the reliable Chicken soup and the Japanese-inspired Bonito soup.
