Play among the stars at Singapore’s largest space flight exhibition

Through five different exhibition galleries displaying over 200 historically significant artefacts, this unprecedented event presents a chance to ignite your curiosity about space travel and relive the accomplishments of space exploration.

Here’s what to expect at NASA – A Human Adventure:

Gantry Entrance

Begin your space adventure by entering the exhibition through a simulated gantry entrance identical to the real-life bridge that allows the safe transport of astronauts and fuel between a space craft and main tower.

Dreamers

At the first stop, you’ll get to meet the famous faces who dreamed of space exploration and devoted their lives to making that dream a reality, including Leonardo Da Vinci, Jules Verne and H.G. Wells.

Go Fever

Next up, enter the 1950s post-Cold-War Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union, which yielded major feats in space technology and pushed the boundaries of human achievements.

Pioneers

At the Pioneers gallery, get up close and personal with the awe-inspiring actual objects that have been used in space, such as rocket thrusters and nose cones. Showcased at this gallery is also a 12-metre long model of the Saturn V Apollo Rocket – one of the largest space crafts ever built to take man to the moon.

Endurance

Continue your mission by learning about the daily challenges that astronauts face, from the high-tech clothing they wear and special foods they eat to the state-of-the-arts tools and systems they use in space. Explore the various demands of EVA (Extra-Vehicular Activity), including spacewalks, lunar landings and the special Rover used during the first exploration of the Moon.

Innovation

Fly by the Innovation gallery which features new technologies that allowed the International Space Station and the Hubble Space Telescope to be built.

G-Force – Astronaut Trainer Ride

Lastly, touch down and experience gravity as you’ve never have before at the G-Force – Astronaut Trainer Ride ($6-$9) which takes you on a surreal, 2-minute long trip into space to revisit the famous Mercury Liberty Bell 7 flight.

Public Programmes

That’s not all – the ArtScience Museum will also offer guided tours on 25th and 27th November complimentary to ticket-holders.
