Bacchanalia has moved to their new location at Hong Kong Street. Though they have a smaller space at Hong Kong Street, the team has done a job well done working around it. The food are very innovative and of course, exquisite. They served the bread with the first starter - Cheesy Polenta. At that moment when I took my first bite of it, I knew my taste buds were in for a treat for the night. It was absolutely amazing. Another dish that left an impression that night was definitely the Carrots 4-Way. They were brilliantly done up and it tastes exceptional!
This is the first visit at the new Bacchanalia. Ordered the seven course set supper. Nice service, professional and lovely staff. Atmosphere there was quite casual. And the place had an open kitchen. I really enjoyed the scallop and caviar, and the tiramisu dessert was really a big surprise. Would love to come back.
The Kitchen at Bacchanalia is quite clean and classy with the nice decoration for a meal. And you must have a quite great experience in this place. The food there is also pretty excellent with very nice textures and flavours that I really appreciate.
And for the Singaporean market it's very affordable for what you'll get as tasting menu. And I was very surprised about the service staff are so attentive explain you every dish and always around you. Our meal was very good. The French Onion Soup was just to die for and the wine.
Singapore has many fine restaurants and this restaurant can be regarded as one of the finest. Last week my boyfriend and I dined there and tried the 8 course"4 Hands" dinner, for a romantic dinner date. This supper featured the talents of Ivan Brehm and the guest chef Hideaki Sato of Hong Kong's Ta Vie. Food was nice with interesting flavors, kind service and we no doubt called it value for money for what we got! We all agreed that this dinner was an unforgettable experience of deliciousness as one could have expected. Besides, the mid week 3 course dinner was equally delectable. It was offered at a reasonable price point by Singaporean standards which my whole family enjoyed just the month before. Whether 8 courses or 3, the dishes are indeed fresh, innovative and beautifully presented on plates. I personally love the coconut risotto, black sesame almond cake and assam tea ice cream. They almost took my breath away. The "textures of mangoes" is like heaven on a plate. The main courses are all good. And the environment is simple, small but elegant and modern and the open kitchen format works pretty well. We could see that the staff wanted to make the dinner a good experience for us, but they often forgot to refill our glass of wine, needed to be reminded now and then which should not be the case.
